Luxor Game Series Wikia

Arma Megiddo is the final (25th) map in Luxor: Amun Rising and Luxor Amun Rising HD. It also appears in The Wrath of Set.

The design of the map in Luxor AR features a dirt background and two dirt paths, one of them being a light brown color and the other being a reddish-brown color. The map itself is meant to represent a war between Egypt and another nation. The left-hand side of the map has two soldiers in red clothing, ready to throw a spear. There are two soldiers in red and white clothes holding a sickle in one hand and a brown shield in the other. There is a soldier riding a carriage-drawn horse and holding a bow-and-arrow, and the soldier and horse are adorned in red clothes and fabrics. The center features a golden plaque that shows three men in red clothes at the top of a golden brick castle, and they seem to be defending it as they shoot arrows from their bow-and-arrows. There are six hieroglyphics around the castle. The right-hand side of the map has the same soldiers as the one on the left-hand side: two spear-bearing soldiers, two sickle-and-shield-holding soldiers, and one carriage-riding soldier. However, these soldiers are wearing blue clothes instead of red. These soldiers most likely represent the Hyksos, as the same soldiers were seen in Invasion of the Hyksos. The red soldiers most likely represent Egypt. The bottom of the map features a row of sickle-bearing soldiers and spear-holding soldiers in that pattern. The ones on the left side are red and the ones on the right side are blue. The two path coverings next to the center plaque are gold circles with a soldier depicted on them.

The design of the map in Luxor AR HD has a polished brick-red dirt background, with the dirt not being as noticeable as in Luxor AR, and there are more colors in the dirt than in the original game. The colors of the paths are the same, however are switched from what they were in the original. In the center, the plaque is now brick-red and the castle is brown instead of golden, and the hieroglyphics are gone. The two path coverings next to the plaque are now brick-red colors, but the soldiers on them are still there.

Difficulty Analysis

As with most final levels, this level is very difficult due to the many path covers. However, the path is mainly vertical, making the level much harder than most other final levels as it is hard to lay shots down correctly. The paths themselves also aren't very long, making it very easy to reach the danger zone. The danger zones also are very short, so if the player has many non like-colored sphere groups at the danger zone, especially on both paths, this can lead to a loss. One tip for the player is to use Lightning Ball on the beginning of either path as a new sphere group is approaching, as it will wipe out all of them instantly. The player should also use Lightning Ball on any vertical sections to eliminate any spheres there.
