Crossing the Reed Sea is the 13th map in Luxor: Amun Rising and Luxor Amun Rising HD. It also appears in The Wrath of Set.

Design

The design of the map from Luxor AR features a tan grass background with two paths, one blue and wavy, to represent water, and a brown straight path, which represents land. The left-hand side of the map has a papyrus plant, a man carrying a package of cargo, and a man walking with a bull that is carrying a package of cargo. The center of the map features a row of hieroglyphics and two bulls carrying packages of cargo. The right-hand side of the map features a man walking with a bull that is carrying cargo, a row of hieroglyphics, two papyrus plants, a man carrying cargo, and a column of hieroglyphics. The top of the map features a row of building that seem to be houses, and they are bunched up in groups of three. The bottom of the map features a row of papyrus plants. The path covers are ships.

The design of the map from Luxor AR HD features a green grass background that looks realistic, with the paths now looking more realistic as well. The row and column of hieroglyphics are now gone, and so are the row of papyrus plants at the bottom of the map.

Difficulty Analysis

This map is one of the harder ones, especially on higher difficulties. What causes the maps to be difficult are the fact that both paths are short, and so are the danger zones, so on higher difficulties, the level can be difficult because there are usually less llike-colored spheres. A tip for this map is to use the Lightning Ball at the beginning of the land path to quickly eliminate lines of spheres. Another tip is to use Fire Ball at the path cover where the danger zones for both maps begin, as it causes the spheres from both paths to get destroyed.
