Eye of Horus is the 21st map in Luxor: Amun Rising and Luxor Amun Rising HD. It also appears in The Wrath of Set.

Design

The design of the map in Luxor AR features a white marble background and a light gold path with a line in the middle of the path. The left-hand side of the map has a column of hieroglyphics, a throne hieroglyph colored in blue, green, and red and the eyelid part of the Eye of Horus, colored in green, red, and blue. The center of the map features the actual eye of the Eye of Hours, and the outline of the eye and the pupil are colored red, blue, and green. The bottom part of the Eye of Horus is seen under the eye and is colored in blue, green, and red. The right-hand side of the map has a golden ankh, and the right part of the Eye of Horus, which in the map is colored in red, blue, and green. This part appears to be in the shape of many arrows, with there being two blue arrows, one green arrow, and three red arrows. The beginning part of the path and the part of the path right under it has a row of blue and green rectangles, with small red circles in between each rectangle. These rectangles are made in the shape of the section of the path under the beginning of the path. The top of the map has a row of hieroglyphics. The bottom of the map has a row of Eye of Ra.

The design of the map in Luxor AR HD, the map has become much simpler, with less colors. The path is glossy, and the line in the middle is gone. On the left-hand side of the map, the column of hieroglyphics is gone, there is a papyrus plant carved into the marble background, a blue gem in between the curve of the path that leads to the danger zone, replacing the throne hieroglyph. There is another blue gem on the outside curve of the part of the path leading up to the danger zone. There is a golden sickle hieroglyph with a golden line right next to it, replacing where the eyelid of the Eye of Horus used to be. The center of the map features the eye of the Eye of Horus, with the eyelid and line part on the right with it instead of them being separated from the eye. The bottom part of the Eye of Horus is now the actual bottom part of the Eye of Horus. In fact, the Eye of Horus is now the actual Eye of Horus, instead of a design of it. The Eye of Horus is green instead of green, blue, and red and the pupil has a glowing white crystal. There is a blue gem in the curve where the other curves leading to the danger zone starts. The right-hand side of the map keeps the golden ankh, and adds a carving of a papyrus plant, and two white crystals where the arrows used to be. The rectangles are now only green, with the red circles also gone. The end of the rectangles, with the path curve, has a white crystal. The row of hieroglyphics were removed, and the row of Eye of Ra at the bottom of the map is gone, replaced with a carving of a uraeus symbol on the left and right-hand sides of the map, and a carving of a winged scarab in the center.

Difficulty Analysis

This level is one of the easier levels, giving the player a break from the much harder levels that come before this level on any stage. The map itself is mostly horizontal, with a long beginning and danger zone, which is why the map is usually pretty easy, as shots are easy to lay down shots and overall making it easier to eliminate lines of spheres. Even if the player makes several mistakes or missed shots, the map is still easily beatable. In fact, it's arguably one of the easiest maps on higher difficulties such as Expert and Challenge of Horus.
