The design of the map in Luxor AR features a black stone background. On the left-side of the map is a blue hawk with human-like legs perched on a yellow plant-like object. There is also a bull and two hieroglyphics directly above it. In the center are two golden animals with their necks intertwined with an ankh in between them, and above and below them are three blue fish and two golden stars in between. On the right-hand side of the map is Narmer, the pharaoh who is featured on the Narmer Palette. He is wearing a red garment and brown knee pads, and a red Egyptian crown. There is also a bull. At the bottom of the map are two hieroglyphics and a row of blue fish. The path is brown and has scales.
The design of the map in Luxor AR HD is relatively the same, except the path now doesn't have scales, there is a crystal in the ankh in the center, and the hieroglyphics and the row of fish at the bottom are gone.
This map has a short path and a cover in the center, which can make it harder in later stages and difficult modes, as there are usually less like-colored sphere groups. The path being horizontal makes aiming at spheres easy, so the map can often be finished without losing a life. This is also made possible by the fact that the danger zone is a long horizontal bend, so it takes a while until the line of spheres reaches the pyramid, which is often enough time for the player to eliminate the spheres.
