Weighing of the Heart is the 20th map in Luxor: Amun Rising and Luxor Amun Rising HD. It also appears in The Wrath of Set.

Design

The design of the map in Luxor AR features a brick-red background and gray path with a brick-red border. The left-hand side of the map features an Eye of Ra, the god Thoth, a red-and-yellow feather of Maat, the god Anubis kneeling, and hieroglyphics in between the curve of the path where the beginning of the danger zone starts. The center of the map has the middle part of the scale which is golden and white, with a string attached to it, directly in the middle where the two paths meet. at the end of the string is a yellow triangle-shaped object. Underneath the object is the goddess and demoness Ammit, who has the forequarters of a lion, the hindquarters of a hippopotamus, and the head of a crocodile. Around Ammit are two arrow hieroglyphics of arrows facing downwards. The right-hand side of the map has an Eye of Horus, a woman in a blue dress kneeling, a woman in a green dress with her arm raised, what appears to be the heart that will be weighed, and hieroglyphics in between the curve of the path where the beginning of the danger zone starts. The bottom of the map has a row of Maat feathers.

The design of the map in Luxor AR HD now has a more polished brick-red background and green path with a golden border. Bricks can also now clearly be seen in the background. The hieroglyphics on both sides of the map that were in between the curve of the path where the beginning of the danger zone starts are now replaced with the two Eyes, the left side having a golden Eye of Ra, and the right side having a golden Eye of Horus, with white crystals as the eyes. The two Eyes from the original map are removed, and so are the arrows that were around Ammit. These arrows are now golden cobras. The middle part of the scale with the string attached to it is also gone, replaced with a white crystal in its place. The row of Maat feathers at the bottom of the map have been removed.

Difficulty Analysis

Weighing of the Heart is one of the hardest maps in the game, with a majority of both paths being vertical, and both paths are extremely short. The vertical sections of the path make it difficult to lay down shots without making a mistake, and on such a short map, any mistakes could cause the player to lose. The danger zone is also almost 100% vertical, so hitting any spheres is almost impossible unless you shoot at the horizontal part of the danger zone, which is the part that enters the pyramid. The danger zone also starts very early, so, even on Casual mode, the player will most likely be stuck at the danger zone of the map. Thankfully, this map doesn't appear much in the game. This map is especially hard on Expert and Challenge of Horus, due to there being less like-colored sphere groups and as the map is short, which can cause the player to easily lose. One tip is to use either Lightning Ball or Fire Ball on the parts where the paths meet so that you can eliminate spheres from both maps quickly.
